Schools - iPhone App Design Workshop

A group of year 6 school pupils in North East Lincolnshire recently spent a day with iPhone developers and trainers from Avalore Studios, learning about designing iPhone apps. They conceived, designed & promoted their own iPhone game named 'Jumbler'. Avalore Studios developed their app and published it to the Apple Appstore. This project captured their interest so much that many of the pupils volunteered to work through their dinner break!

We've seen the passion for mobile apps from school pupils first hand so we've been working on offering this unique opportunity to schools around the UK. Not only will pupils learn about the mobile app world they'll also put into real world use their maths, english and art skills.

Workshop + App development
This options includes everything from the normal workshop but also includes your students app being developed and published to the app store for the whole world to see.
- One app idea will be chosen from the groups
- All students get to contribute to further refine the chosen app
- Our developers will go away and create the app
- Pupils will get a chance to test the app and give feedback to our developers
- The app will be published to the app store
- Pupils will also learn about promotion, marketing and pricing for when their app is released
- Profits from the app will be retained by the school, possibly making this a break-even or profitable exercise
